Well 2011 is coming to a close! What a year it has been! Personally and around the world... I mean, just watching all the 2011 reflection videos just makes you think what a crazy year it's been! All the natural disasters (Texas drought/wildfires, Japan tsunami/earthquake, other earthquakes around the world, flooding in New England from Irene, the Joplin tornado as well as the tornado spring outbreak in general, and flooding around the world like in Brazil, just as a few examples) were absolutely CRAZY this year. Such destruction, yet so much hope coming from those people who went/are still going through it. And then we had the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Osama Bin Laden was killed, troops withdrew from Iraq, we had the final shuttle launch, the Arab Spring and all those uprisings, and who can forget the Royal Wedding! 2011 sure was a HUGE year...
I watched my big boy turn 2 and my little one turn 1, I celebrated my first wedding anniversary, and a million other blessings...
But I'm excited for 2012! I get to welcome another beautiful son into the world in May, travel to Colorado in April (I haven't been more west than San Antonio!), celebrate my 2nd wedding anniversary. There's the Olympics, and of course the infamous 12-21-12.... Oooooo! But in all seriousness, I'm very excited for what 2012 will bring! I'm excited!
Happy New Year, everyone!
This is my life; A determined young mom to Bentley, Rafe&Milo and a loving, committed wife to Levi.

Christmas traditions...
I love Christmas traditions! The really fun thing is that once you get married and start your own family, you get to continue on with your traditions, find a way to mix you and your spouse's traditions, and make new ones!
This is how we do itttt;;
First of all, looking at Christmas lights! We usually do it any time in the week before Christmas. We get Starbucks or bring hot chocolate or something and go look at lights! Sometimes we seriously look at them for HOURS.
We also do this tradition of the elf thing! My grandma did it to my mom and my mom to us. Now they have like, elf on the shelf and stuff but I got ours from a website. I don't like the elf on the shelf ones. They're cheap looking and I don't like that they're "watching" the kids to reinforce good behavior. The way we did it was that Santa sent an elf to spread Christmas spirit and share the real meaning of Christmas! He always got into mischief and ate candy or soemthing like that... It was always really fun to see if our elf had done anything when I was little, so I can't wait to do that, too!
We also make a Birthday Cake for Jesus... I always loved singing Happy Birthday to Jesus when I was little, and it helps remind of the real meaning of Christmas!
Then on Christmas Eve, the fun begins!
We do the gingerbread house, bake a whole lot of stuff, and make and decorate the cookies for Santa! We'd check Santa's progress on the NORAD tracker... My parents always got us Christmas pajamas, and that's the present we got to open on Christmas Eve! We have done that every Christmas with Bentley and Rafe so far... Even when they were too little to open it theirselves, haha. We set out the cookies and milk for Santa, and then read the kids the Christmas story, which Bentley is curently obsessed with. Then we wake them up to go to church at the late service, at like 11pm. I always did that when I was a kid and it was so magical, and wondering if Santa would know if we were awake and not come to our house yet...
On Christmas morning, I would always wake up SUPER early and run to my parents' room (because their room was on the same floor as all the kids) and we'd jump on their bed and they would make us wait an hour or two... Waiting was the worst, because we weren't allowed to go downstairs and see what Santa had brought! Then when my parents FINALLY got up (after we woke them up a million more times) we would go downstairs! My parents didn't wrap the presents from Santa, which I'm SO glad they didn't. I loved just going downstairs and seeing everything all set up and just going right to it! We'd check it all out, get the stuff out of our stocking, and then open the rest of the gifts from under the tree from our parents and from my other siblings. I plan to do the same with my kids. It's so much more fun when they aren't wrapped, plus you still get to unwrap tons of presents anyway! Then we always eat a huge breakfast, and listen to Christmas music.
This year we're going to my parents' in the morning after we do our own family thing and my sister Ana is coming with her family, so we'll give each other our presents and stuff and kind of have our own Christmas. Then we're going to Levi's mom's for dinner!
My favorite thing about having my own family is just seeing the same things that gave you joy as a child light up your own child's eyes... And making more traditions that someday they'll carry on to their kids, as well!
This post was kind of rambling, sorry! Haha. Just thought I'd share what a typical Christmas is for us!

Boy number three!
And it'll be.... another boy! Haha. :) If we're being 100% honest, I was a little disappointed at first but now I'm excited! I'm so excited to go out and buy stuff and do up his room! And that I get to call the baby something other than "he/she" or "the baby".... Haha. I just get to say HE, HIS, ETC! Haha. :)
So on the names front, I'm kind of lost... I have a lot that I like, but I really dont LOVE any of them. So if any of ya'll have any suggestions, let me know!

Just some thoughts!
Today, I am 19 weeks pregnant! I seriously cannot believe how fast the time has gone. This pregnancy is flying by ten times faster than either of my other ones. Today I feel like a giant water buffalo, but most days I feel normal. :) I can't believe that in seven days, I will know whether we're having a boy or a girl! I'm BEYOND excited to start doing up his/her room, buying stuff, etc.
Christmas is right around the corner, yet I am 100% unprepared. I haven't gotten ANY gifts at all, for anyone, and my tree isn't even up yet..... FML! Oh well. I still have what, a week? :/ The one thing I can't stand is that it's DECEMBER, Christmas is in a week, and it will officially be winter in what, 5 or 6 days, and it's EIGHTY DAMN DEGREES OUTSIDE. :l Not. Even. Cool. But anyway. Bentley is obsessed with his advent calender with the chocolates in it... It's the first thing he asks for in the morning!
I also can't believe that Rafe is ONE. I can't believe it's been a year and eight days since I had him.... Time truly just flies by when you're a mom! We just had a little cake as a family on his actual birthday, and then next week once my siblings and niece are out of school on Christmas break and things are less crazy for everyone, we're going to have a party with family, just a small thing but just something to celebrate!
Also, I just read this AMAZING book. It's called A Thousand Splendid Suns, written by Khaled Hosseini. I've read a lot of books in my time, but this is by far my most favorite book EVER. As a woman and a mother, this book just touched my heart in so many inexplicable ways.... I'm not only going to recommend this book to you, but I urge you to read it. It's absolutely heartbreaking and tragic, yet hopeful and beautiful at the same time. You will not regret it. It's absolutely beautifully written, and I have never read another book that has touched my heart so much...

The Proverbs 31 Woman
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
She finds wool and flax
and busily spins it.
She is like a merchant's ship,
bringing her food from afar.
She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her houshold
and plan the day's work for her servant girls.
She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vinyard.
She is energetic and strong,
a hard worker.
She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
her lamps burn late into the night.
Her hands are busy spinning thread,
her fingers twisting fiber.
She extends a helping hand to the poor
and opens her arms to the needy.
She has no fear of winter for her household,
for everyone has warm clothes.
She makes her own bedspreads.
She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
Her husband is well known at the city gates,
where he sits with other civic leaders.
She makes belted linen garments
and sashes to sell to all the merchants.
She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instruction with kindness.
She carefully watches over everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.
Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
"There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!"
Charm is deceptive and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
So I saw this video that kind of set of a series of thoughts in my mind. It was by a young man who had been on facebook during the Victoria's Secret fashion show, and saw all these girls making comments like "Gotta hit the gym!" He was saying how we shouldn't focus on things like beauty or how hot a woman is when looking for a wife. You should focus on finding someone that would fit Proverbs 31.
As a mother of boys, this is something I really hope to instill in them. Like the verse said at the end, charm is deceptive and beaty fades. One of the things I really want for them is for them to be able to look for the important qualities in a woman - and in people in general. I don't want them to focus on the body or the face of a person. I want them to focus on the heart of a person.
So how different would our society be if we focused on being Proverbs 31 women instead of looking like Victoria's Secret Models? What if we focused on being a good person, not the way we look? How would things change?

Updates on my 2.5 kids!
#1
Bentley's favorite words are "Mine!" and "No!" right now... He's so crazy! He's not too bad about sharing and he's usually nice, but he knows that saying "No" to me every time I ask him a question makes me frusturated, and he things it's the funniest thing in the world! :l He loves to do things for himself! He loves to dress himself (and, to my dismay, undress himself), wash his hands BY HIMSELF, etc. Sometimes he gets confused or can't reach and freaks out and gets mad when I don't help... It's honestly hilarious and annoying at the same time!
He's starting to kind of understand that I'm pregnant. He knows that he'll have another sibling like Rafe, and that right now he or she is in mommy's tummy. He'll come up to me and rub my belly and whisper in some randomness, and he says he's telling the baby things! Too cute. He also wants to name him/her Bentley. How clever! Hahaha. He's doing pretty well with the ABCs and drawing! When we put him to bed, we usually spend a tiny bit on ABCs before we read him a book. Right now his favorite things are his Children's Bible, and the Christmas stories I've been reading him. I don't know why he likes them so much, but when he goes to pick out a book, it's guarenteed to be one of those!

Rafe will be ONE YEAR OLD in only THREE DAYS. :'( I can't even believe how fast this year has gone by! We're probably going to have a small little get together on Saturday with family and a cake, nothing too crazy! He's starting to walk more now, but he doesn't usually get too far without falling right on his butt, haha. He can say "mama", "dada" and "benny", but not always to the right person! He says ""dog" sometimes, too, but not often. He's super curious and he's always getting into everything he can get his hands on! He also imitates a lot of things that Bentley does, which isn't exactly a good thing but oh well, it's cute!

Well I'm 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant! I'm really showing now, it's insane how big I already am. I feel like I already look 22, 23 weeks pregnant! I'm finally getting over morning sickness. FINALLY. I was SO sick! I was never that sick with Bentley or Rafe! There were some days where I literally either couldn't get out of bed or couldn't get out of the bathroom. It sucked! Especially if Levi couldn't stay home with me, and the boys were wanting me to play with them or I had to feed them or whatever, and I just wanted to curl in a ball and sleep! We're finding out the gender on December 22! I'm SO excited, I feel like it can't come soon enough! I'm feeling a lot of movement - this kid is strong already! No strong kicks yet, but I'm pretty sure there will be soon! Overall, the pregnancy is going really well, and now that I'm through with being sick, I feel great!

Christmas
I LOVE Christmas season and winter! Christmas season is definitely my favorite time of the year. There's just something about the lights and the magic that just makes me so happy! It's FINALLY starting to cool off... We had such a long, hot summer that I've been ready for winter for MONTHS, haha. We have a 50% chance of rain on Saturday, which I really hope happens because we REALLY need the rain - we're still in such an awful drought! And then after that, the high is only 61 for two days! I CANNOT wait - I LOVE that kind of weather. And then it's supposed to stay in the 60s for about a week, which is SO nice! But then again, our seasons are so different here. Like, for my family in Illinois, their winter pretty much starts in November, but we don't get consistantly cold until January, usually. And then while thier winter often lasts well into April, our weather starts to get warm in March!
I already put up the garland on our staircase... The boys are SO fascinated by the lights! Bentley never did grab for them or grab for the tree or anything, but Rafe definitely was trying to reach for the lights, which makes me nervous about the tree. Hopefully the interest will eventually wear off and he'll get over it...
I have to re-string lights on our tree, so it might take a while before we get it put up, but I cannot wait to have it up! It's a big tree - maybe 9 or 10 feet - but we'll have it for a long time, so it's all good!
I have no idea what I'm getting the boys yet! Bentley is currently fascinated with building things and with cars and planes... So I'll probably do something along those lines. I'd love to give him my old Lincoln Logs that I played with when I was little, but I'm just worried that some of them might still be a little bit too small for him. I'll probably just always watch him/play with him when he plays with them if I do end up giving them to him. And then with Rafe, I really don't know what to get him... I'll probably just go to Target and throw whatever looks fun in the cart, haha.
Levi is the person I always have a problem with. I'm SO bad at giving him gifts! I ask him what he wants and he's like "socks". :l He won't tell me what he wants, and that makes it so hard! And then he always gets me some great, creative gift and I end up getting him something really lame, haha. I'm a terrible gift giver!
I love that the boys are getting older, though, because we can really start those traditions! I can't wait to take them in the car to look at Christmas lights, make Christmas cookies with them, etc. I just can't wait to share all the things that I enjoyed as a child with them!

Now that Thanksgiving is over...
IT'S CHRISTMAS SEASON! :)
Thanksgiving was absolutely lovely. I loved being able to have all my family together in one place! It just strikes me how much people grow and change in a year! Like, this is my brother's very last Thanksgiving where he's not going to have to come back and make plans to visit and stuff, since he'll be going off to college! And then my sister Alexis will be a freshman in high school next year... She's getting so beautiful! I'm going to have to give her a good talking to, because I know all the guys will be all over her! And then my baby sister has gotten so big, too! She's 20 months and running all over! She's really stubborn, but she has a great heart. It's crazy, because last year she was still a baby... Now she's about to be 2 in March! And then I feel like every time I see my nieces&nephew, they get about 10 years older! My niece Halee is SIX. SIXXXX!!!! She'll actually be 7 on December 8th, and I still remember when she was born like it was yesterday! She's the sweetest little girl. She's totally infatuated with babies, always mothering all the smaller kids. She even went up to my belly since she knows I'm pregnant, and she was talking to the baby. It was the CUTEST thing ever. My nephew Kyte just turned 3, and he's gotten so big, too! Him and Bentley are totally partners in crime... I know when they get in school together, they'll be big trouble makers, haha. I'm glad that they get to grow up together! And my little niece Isla is 17 months, so her, Rafe and Sophia will get to grow up together, too. I still think it's funny how Sophia is Isla and Rafe's aunt, yet she's only a few months older than them!
Seeing all of Levi's family was great, too! His younger sister Kirsten is a freshman in college and she's loving it, so that's awesome! And then his other two sisters are doing great, as well! Rebecca is the one that just got married, and then Hailey is out of college and working in a job she loves! So that's awesome. :)
It's just crazy how different everything is now compared to only a short year ago! I mean, a year ago Bentley was 16 1/2 months old and I was trying like heck not to give birth early to Rafe, haha. Now Bentley is 2, Rafe is almost 1 and I'm pregnant! It's just too crazy.
I love the times where we get to spend all day with family, and tell crazy stories about everything we did as kids, bring out the embarassing pictures, etc. I was looking for a Christmas music CD in my parents' TV cabinet, and I found this old VCR tape that was labled "Austin - the first 4 days" and I wanted to watch it SO bad! It brought back all the memories from when we were little, popping the video tape in the VCR player and rewinding it before we could watch it, haha. It was a great day, filled with lots of laughing and some DANG good food. I ate SO much, and I'm SO happy that I didn't get sick! I think I have a cold though, my nose as been all stuffed up and I've had a sore throat from drainage... Not fun!
This post has gotten crazy long so I'll just write my Christmas post in another one...
Thanksgiving
Well we were hoping to have a nice, quiet Thanksgiving at our own house with just a few family members over, but we've now merged it and it's going to be CRAZY. I would put my foot down, but my mom was like "this is the last Thanksgiving before Will goes to college, I want us all to be together!" blah blah blah. And I just couldn't say no... So I guess we'll put off having Thanksgiving at our house for the first time.
It's going to be absolutely INSANE, though. My parents, my brother, my two little sisters, my older sister, her 3 kids and her husband, Levi's mom, Levi's 3 sisters and brother-in-law will ALL be there. That's NINETEEN PEOPLE. Only 5 of them are small children. (Bentley is 2, Rafe is 11 months, my sister Sophia is 20 months, my nephew Kyte is 3, and my nieces are Halee, who's 6, and Isla, who's 17 months.)
I know it'll probably end up being fun, but oh well. At least Levi and I only have to make a few things now instead of cooking ALL of Thanksgiving dinner.
Oh and guess what our baby will be! expectnet.com/games/BabyGNumberThree

15 weeks pregnant!
Well I'm now 15 weeks, so we'll be finding out the gender soon! We'll definitely know before Christmas... and I'm so excited to find out! Last night Levi and I sat and made up a list of names, here it is! I'll put some that I like but Levi doesn't, some that Levi likes but I don't and then ones we mutually like.
GIRLS
I like; Taea/Taya Jillian, Lorelai Jillian, Nakoma Jillian
Levi likes; Cecilia Jillian, Juliet Jillian "JJ", Nadia Jillian, Katia Jillian, Lorian Julia Lily, Jillian Ruth
We both like; Felicity Jillian, Molly Jillian, Kadence Jillian, Caroline Jillian, Allie Ray Jillian, Cheyenne Jillian, Savannah Jillian, Amelia Jillian, Lyla Jillian, Rebekah Jillian
BOYS
I like; Forrest Isaiah, Boden Samuel, Dimitri William, Cree Isaac
Levi likes; Lee Samuel, Abijah William, Trevor Elijah, Asa Samuel
We both like; Milo William/Milo Samuel, Lyle William, Hunter William, Cash William, Paxton Samuel, Beau William, Reilly William, Easton Samuel
We're a bit more short on boys names.... I'm still trying to find some more, so if you have suggestions, go for it!
So I'm about 15 and a half weeks pregnant! I'm starting to feel some movement fairly often for how far along I am. I guess it just comes with the fact that this is my third pregnancy. It's still just small flutters though, Levi can't feel it or anything. I'm pretty dang sick with this pregnancy - WAY more so than I was with Bentley or Rafe. This past week it's been a bit better, so I'm happy about that! Hopefully it keeps on getting better (knock on wood!). I haven't gained too much weight yet - just about 3-5 pounds. Depends on when I weigh myself, haha. I'm starting to show now, too! I'm still very very small, but we can tell a difference, especially when I wear tight shirts.
We told all of our families at once last night! It was Levi's sister's birthday, and we threw her a little party at our house and invited both of our families. So Levi's mom, all three of his sisters as well as his brother-in-law, and then my parents, and all my siblings and my nieces/nephew. We did that picture thing that I mentioned before! Levi got the camera and told everyone to pose for a picture, and then he was like "okay, say 'Aussie's pregnant!" It was hilarous, because my little sister, our moms and his little sister all freaked out instantly, screaming and all that! My dad actually said it, and then he was all confused... It was so funny! They were freaking out, it was great! Everyone's really happy for us, so I'm excited! :)
I'm just really looking forward to the 20 weeks ultrasound! I CANNOT wait to find out what we're having, and I'm really excited to see the profile and what he/she looks like! I feel like I'm just really able to enjoy this pregnancy and actually be excited about everything instead of freaking out or worrying. It's a great feeling to have!

Telling my family!
We're planning to tell Levi's family that I'm pregnant at Thanksgiving dinner, and then my family probably earlier that day. We kept going back and forth about telling them, but we never really did it... Haha. I'm 13 weeks now so I think it's a good time to tell. I was trying to think of cute ways to do it, and I came across this video blog thing called motherglow.com, and a lot of people have their family get ready to take a picture, and all stand together, and then instead of "say cheese" or something, they say "Say, 'Jane's pregnant!'" I thought that was a cute idea, so I think I might do that for my family! Not sure what we'll do while telling Levi's though! Gotta put my thinking cap on!
Autumn&Winter!
I love this time of year! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas... I love them all!
So last night we fell back an hour, so I gained a glorious hour of sleep, plus Levi took care of the boys and let me sleep in this morning! So I'm feeling completely rejuvineted. It's amazing what a little extra sleep can do for you!
For Halloween, the boys dressed up and we took them trick or treating! We mostly just went down the street to some neighbors, and we went at the beginning of the night just before it got completely dark. It was Rafe's first Halloween! :) He was a puppy dog, and he was so adorable. Levi would bark like a dog, and for some reason Rafe found it hilarious. He'd just laugh and laugh and laugh! Bentley was Superman, and boy did he enjoy that cape. He didn't want to take it off!
The weather has gotten a bit chilly for a day or two, but then it just goes back up again. It's been in the 70s and 80s! NOT fall or winter weather at all. I'm ready for fireplace, bundled up, cold smell weather! But of course, Texas weather just doesn't want to settle! It's allllll over the place. It is how the saying goes in Texas... "Don't like the weather? Just wait a few minutes."
I'm so excited for Thanksgiving - We are FINALLY having Thanksgiving at MY house! Ever since we've lived in this house, we either traveled to Illinois for Thanksgiving, went to Levi's mom's house, went to my parents' house, etc. We were going to have it at my house last year but then at last minute our plans were changed! So it'll be the four of us, and then Levi's mom and two of his sisters are coming. That means we'll probably do Christmas with my family. It's such a hassle when you're married, trying to do things with each family. I'm so blessed that we all get along so well, even my family and Levi's family, because it would be impossible to do it all without that! I don't know how people with strained families do it. Major props to them.
And again, Christmas is coming! I LOVE the Christmas season. I love the music, the lights, the decerations, the atmosphere in general... Heck, I wouldn't care if they just started playing Christmas music now! The only bad thing about Christmas is that I'm an AWFUL gift giver. I never know what to get for the boys or Levi or any of my family. It's terrible! I don't know why I can't give good gifts.
Another thing coming up is Rafe's first birthday... I CANNOT believe how fast he's grown up! The first few months went by slowly, but the past few have FLOWN by. We're probably just going to have a small party at my house with friends and family. That's what we did with Bentley, and it was really nice. No need to go crazy on a birthday they don't remember, haha.
I also can't believe I'm 21. My birthday was on the 30th! I didn't really celebrate or anything, we just went out to dinner and Levi made me a cake! It was actually really good. I don't feel 21, though! I definitely feel more like 31.

Planes, Rains and Automobiles!
Alright ya'll. I am TEN WEEKS AND TWO DAYS PREGNANT! Oh my goodness. I cannot believe I'm already 10 weeks. I know it's not that far along, but I feel like I literally found out yesterday... Plus I'm not showing yet and haven't beens sick or really had any other noticable symptoms like that. I'm really excited, because I'm going to be telling all the rest of my family soon! :) We want to tell them a while before Levi's sister's wedding so that it kind of dies down and it doesn't take away from her moment, haha. My next appointment is in two weeks, so I'm excited for that! I'm trying to think up good ways to tell my parents. The first two times it wasn't really a happy thing, so I'm excited for them to be able to be happy for me and not worried for what'll happen.
Rafe is 10 months! It's insane. He's grown up SO fast, I cannot believe that he's about to be 1! He crawls so fast. Like, I've never seen a child crawl that fast. He gets up and then I look away for literally one second and then he's just in the other room! He stands really steadily when he holds onto something, and he can stand by himself for a little bit, but ends up falling, haha. :) I can't wait for him to start walking!
Bentley just keeps on learning at lightening speed. He recently found out he can jump, so he's always jumping around. His speech is REALLY good for his age, although his favorite word is "NO." Bentley, do you want to go outside? No. Do you want to play with me? No. Can you say 'blanket'? No. Can you say no? No. Haha. He just says it with a smile on his face! He's a really funny kid, too. He just laughs and says the funniest things. He's recently become really fascinated with planes, too. We went to the air show today and he was just like, "WOAH!" Haha. He kept saying it. It was adorable. He just lights me up every day. I can't wait for him to get big and get in school and all that, and then start playing football and stuff... But I'm getting way ahead of myself. I just need to enjoy the moment and the stage he's in, because I know someday I'll miss when the boys were this little.
We finally got some rain recently! :) It was amazing to have a day that was rainy for the first time in literally months and months. Although we still need like, 24 inches of rain to get out of the drought. All that rain didn't even put a tiny dent in our drought! I was so sad. :( And also, the weather is still NOT getting cooler and it makes me sad. I want it to be winter already! But noooo, it's still in the high 80s and low 90s! :'(
I still don't have my own car, and I cannot stand it anymore! I've been looking at cheap cars on carmax and stuff... I'm hoping that we can afford to get one. It'll just make it so much easier, and probably end up costing us less gas money in the end!
That's basically all for now. :) Talk to ya'll later!

In case you haven't heard...
I'm pregnant! :) Yay!
I had routine blood work done earlier in the week and my doctor unexpectedly called me to tell me that I was pregnant! I wasn't expecting to hear it! Levi and I had just decided to not try not to have another until December, when we would start actually trying. But I was already pregnant! Haha. It feels good to actually have sort of planned this baby! As opposed to Bentley and Rafe who were complete surprises! It makes me feel responsible, hahaha.
I have an appointment on Monday to find out exactly how far along I am and when exactly I'm due! I was going to wait until after that to tell Levi, but I just COULD NOT wait! I knew how excited he'd be! So I dressed up Rafe in Bentley's old "Going to be a big brother!" shirt and put him in his crib and then I told Levi "Can you go check on Rafe?" And so he did. I couldn't quit smiling and I was trying to hear his reaction! Haha. All of the sudden I hear "OH MY GOD!" And he comes bursting down the stairs with a GIANT smile on his face and he was like "Aussie, are you pregnant?!" I started laughing and nodded and he just started freaking out! Haha. He's so so so so so so so so so so so excited! We're both definitely hoping for a girl this time and will be finding out the gender as soon as possible! It was nice waiting with Bentley and Rafe, but this time I just want to find out! Haha. Especially since I'm so anxious for a girl! But anyway... I'll be using this blog to update ya'll on my pregnancy and everything that happens as it happens!
xoxo,
future momma of three,

Hurricane Kit!
So I finally got Levi to actually go and get all our hurricane kit stuff ready, just in case. We've been lucky these past few seasons, but August and especially September are the worst, so we really want to be prepared. So we're going to get tons of diapers, a billion batteries, flashlights, lots of first aid stuff, battery powered lights and sandbags. We already have a really good battery powered NOAA weather radio, so that's one thing off the list. It goes off whenever there's any kind of tornado/severe thunderstorm/flood, etc watch or warning and when there's an Amber Alert or any other kind of advisory. And you get just get the normal weather when you press a certain button. It's really helpful to know when a storm is coming. I know that if it was a Hurricane coming here, we'd definitely leave, or at least make plans for someone to take the kids. After going through Ike, there's NO WAY I would put my kids through that! But we'd most likely stay for a tropical storm, and power can still go out and it can still flood, so it's still good to have supplies. But anyway. Thoughts&prayers go out to those going through Irene! It sucks!

My boys!
It's absolutely amazing how much children grow and learn in the first years of life. I still can't believe that I have a 2 year old! And Rafe is 8 months, and that's crazy, too!
Bentley is learning things so quickly! I swear he'll play sports, because he just wants to be outside 24/7! And I hardly ever see him walk anymore. He's always running! He loves to do arts and crafts, too. He used to do them a lot when he went to daycare, and they also do them a lot at Sunday school, so he's always asking to do them. His speech is really good. He picks up words probably every day, and he's getting a lot easier to understand. He speaks pretty clearly, most of the time. I'm probably going to start potty training him soon. I feel like he's close to being ready for that. We're also starting to learn the ABCs and numbers! :) He's pretty good with the alphabet for his age. His favorite letter is B (for Bentley! Haha.) and when we read our alphabet book and get to B, he's ALWAYS naming all these things that start with the letter B. He climbs all over everything and always gets scratches or bruises. He always comes to me and will tell me all about his new owie. I'm thinking that when he gets older, he's going to be very tenderhearted. He's a total cuddle bug, and he's very caring. He loves watching animals, too! He'll sit at the back door (it's got a really long glass window that pretty much makes up the whole door) and just watches all the wildlife that comes through the land behind our house. I really hope to be able to get horses soon. Levi and I both grew up around them, and it's really a great thing. I also take him to the pet store pretty often to look at all the animals - birds, snakes, lizards, etc. so that he won't be scared of them. So many parents freak out when they see a spider or a snake and then their kids get so afraid of them. We have a dog and he roughhouses with him all the time, but luckily Rebel is just as much of a sweetheart as Bentley is, so he just lets Bentley go crazy with him. Bentley also LOVES to help me and Levi do things. If Levi ever has to go work out at the barn or anything, Bentley begs to go and help. We have a little toy toolbox, and he'll always pretend to help Levi. It's so adorable.
Rafe is now 8 months old! Time has flown! But I feel like these months have gone by a little slower than they did with Bentley - but I'm not complaining! Now that he can crawl, he LOVES to explore. I have to keep an eye on him all the time, because he's always wanting to go and get into things. He's a bit clingy, but it kind of comes with the age. If we ever go out in public, he always wants me or Levi. He's definitely more a mama's boy. He definitely has seperation anxiety, too. He can stand while holding onto things, and he babbles all the time. He mimics syllables all the time. "bababababa", "mamamamama", "dadadadada", etc. He loves to pick things up and hold things. He'll just sit there and inspect it! He definitely keeps himself occupied a lot of the time. I see him being pretty smart when he grows up. I can't believe he'll be one in December. :'( Time sure does fly!
Money, money, money!
I seriously hate it. I hate that it rules everything and that people get so CRAZY about it! I just think it's so sad that you can't survive or live well without it.
Anyways. Now that Levi's job is the only income for us, we've had to do some serious budgeting. I brought in a good extra $700 or so every week, and without that it's really rough! Although Levi's job does pay well, that extra money from my job allowed us to not have to worry about budgeting so much. So now we're couponing, etc for groceries. It's a few hours work to sit there, make a list of what we need, look at what's on sale, make a list of what we're going to buy and how much it'll all cost. We're trying to pay with cash for as much as we can, to avoid future debt and spending on stuff we don't need. Giving away cash really does make you think more about what you're buying than swiping your credit card.
It's absolutely crazy how much a child costs. You really do not realize it until you have one. On BabyCenter, they have this Cost Estimater thing. I did it out of curiosity of what I spent for Bentley's first year. It has you enter in how much you think you'll spend, but since I already know what I did spend, It's probably somewhat accurate. Not including insurance/doctor costs, it was $11,684. That's A LOT of money. Especially for teenagers. And we were really frugal on what we spent. Like, if he really didn't need it or might not need it, we didn't buy it, the end. He didn't have a whole bunch of swings/play mats, etc. It's so hard to give your child everything they need and want when you're so young. It really is. Without the help and support of our families, there's no way we could have done it. I am SO thankful to them.

Praise the Lord!
Answered prayers. :)
IT'S RAINING! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

This is the drought in the US vs the excessive moisture. Obviously, as you can see, Where I live in S TX is EXTREEEEEEMELY dry. We're like, 20-25 inches away from what we should be. We'd need that much in 30 days to make the drought go away(yeahright!)
HOWEVER! :)

I was looking at this the other day. And I got very happy! Although some of me was like.... Hmmmmmyeahright. Because every time they say there will be a big rain event, there's nothing but a sprinkle, if that. But it's actually really raining! It's been raining heavy and sprinkling all morning. :) It's so so so nice to finally have a rainy day. You have no idea! I literally forgot what thunder sounds like.
THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING MY PRAYERS, LORDDDD<3

Hey ya'll - June update!
Hey everyone! :) Sorry that it's been ages since I've updated or blogged... My bad!
Well first off, my boys. :) Rafe is 6 months old now and I can't believe how quick he's grown up! He rolls EVERYWHERE! We have to watch him like a hawk, because he'll roll underneath things, off things, etc. He's probably going to start crawling any time now... It's insane how quick they learn to do things. Amazes me even though I've already been through it once! Rafe is also getting a bit less clingy... He's more willing to associate with people.
Bentley is 23 months! I CANNOT believe that he's going to be 2 next month... It's gone SO fast! He's saying tons of words, though sometimes only Levi and I can tell what he's saying. He's really curious and likes to get into things and cause trouble, haha. And he RUNS everywhere. It's like he forgot to walk. Haha.
I'm not working anymore. My boss' husband got a job out of state and they decided to move with him. So she closed up shop and they're moving ASAP. But oh well, I guess. We were considering having me be a stay at home mom. But it's actually kind of boring, haha. I miss being able to get out of the house! I especially can't since I don't have a car... :/ STILL hate that! Oh well.
I am hoping to find the time to get my picture blog up to date... Once you fall behind, you fall behind! :/
I'm leaving for my trip 2 weeks from Sunday. It's making me crazy because I have so much to do and so little time! We'll be gone for a while and we'll be there while it's Bentley's birthday so we have to figure out what to do about that, as well.
That's really all that's been going on! So adios, amigas. ;)

That's Love.
My servent grew up in the Lord's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearence, nothing to attract him to us. He was despised and rejected - a man of sorrows, aquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our mistakes. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's path to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
He was opressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to a slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never decieved anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man's grave.
I'm sorry3

April - the busiest month of the year.
So for some reason, April seems to be the busiest month of the year. Between going to my siblings track meets/7 on 7 football games and helping my mom transport them places, hosting my sister's party, etc, I just don't seem to have any time for anything! Hopefully during the summer, things will be smoother since my siblings will be out of school. Bentley and Rafe are both doing great - growing so fast. Bentley is almsot 22 months, and Rafe is almost 5 months. I can't believe how fast they're growing! I mean, Rafe is going to be crawling soon (God help me!) and Bentley is almost 2. Time is just slipping by!
Levi has enough credits to graduate in December, and hopefully once he has a legit degree, he can get a better paying job with good benefits and I can quit my job and be a stay at home mom. I just don't like how Bentley and Rafe have to be in daycare and stuff all day. It's not fair on them. I mean, I don't know. They'll end up fine, but I just don't like that I have to miss out on a lot of new things Rafe does and things like that. Call it selfish, but that's just how I feel. I mean, besides. Whenever I'm at work, all I can think about it wanting to be at home with them. I would just rather be with them.
Levi and I are talking about another baby. He REALLY wants a girl, so he wants to try again as soon as possible. But I'm not ready, haha. There's no way I'm about to try again for another baby right now. I mean, if I got pregnant right now, that's only 14 months between that baby and Rafe. That's not gonna happen. The 17 month difference between Bentley and Rafe was tough enough! So we decided that we'd revisit the matter in December, when Rafe turns one, and just see how everything turns out with Levi getting a job, etc.

More Than A Mom.
I don't really understand why people feel like if I do anything except take care of my kids and be a housewife, I'm a bad mother. Okay, first off? You don't know me. You don't know who I am. You know my name, that I have two sons, maybe a bit about my family. But honestly? You've never met me, talked to me, carried on a conversation with me, and you never will. WHY do you get to pass judgment? I truly don't understand. Not only is it unfair, but it's unjust. Second off, you obviously are not a mom yourself and know little about children. Because you seem to always look past the fact that they sleep. A lot. And I don't always have something to do while they sleep. So I get on the computer. Thirdly, my online accounts ARE NOT just for online friends. I have family and real life friends, too, thanks. And they want to know what's going on. Fourth, I also know that you most likely have little understanding of what a mother is.
Kay, honestly? Once I became a mom, I lost the right to be anything else? I can't follow my dreams, can't do anything! Why can't I please anyone, no matter what? If I work and go to school, it's bad because I'm leaving my kids and should be taking care of them. If I don't, it's bad because I'm not supporting them. Freaking choose already. Which one is it? And moms have lives. Yes, my kids are the most important things in my life, but they are not the ONLY things in my life. I have other family, other friends, a relationship with my husband, a job, passions. I have feelings and desires and goals that don't actually have anything to do with motherly duties. Am I not allowed to have that anymore? What about your own mom? Do you really have so little respect for her to hold her to the same standards? If I did nothing for myself, what would I even be anymore? Just a mom-robot or something?
So let me say this - until you're a mother, until you've lived my exact life with all the involved circumstances and feelings, until you're perfect, until you're God himself, you have NO right to judge me, or anyone else. None. You may think you do, but you're sadly mistaken. What some nobody says about my over the internet is not going to change the way I act, and it's not going to keep me up at night. But I just thought I'd write this to tell you that I am more than just a mom. I'm a person, too.

Rafe
Well I'm sure most of you heard about Rafe's sickness. He had RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) which caused him to have pneumonia. RSV and complications in babies under 6 months old often causes death, so it was very scary for us. But luckily, my little boy made it through. :) He's a fighter! He was REALLY sick for a while there, but just as quickly as he worsened, he got better. He is still sick, but he is A LOT better than he was, and he's not so sick that he needs to be in the hospital anymore. After 5 days there, I was SO glad that he could come home.
Unfortunately, the medicines he was on and just in general serious RSV often causes asthma later in life. So we're going to have to be extremely cautious about that. But asthma isn't always that serious. My brother has it and he's a great athlete! It doesn't really prohibit you from doing much. And he's kind of grown out of it as he's gotten older. He had a lot of asthma attacks as a child, and just normal sicknesses like the flu or pneumonia turned in to life-threatening things. But as long as you're careful, once you get past that it's really nothing major. I'd much rather him have asthma than not be here, so I'm thankful!
Thank ya'll SO much for all the thoughts and prayers, I'm confident that it did make a difference. The power of prayer is an amazing thing.
Also, for those who aren't aware of what RSV is, basically it's a respiratory virus that infects the lungs and breathing passageways. Most people can get better quickly and without much medical intervention, but in infants (especially under 6 months), young children, older adults and people with other respiratory diseases, it can become severe. It's the most common cause of pneumonia and bronchiolitis in babies under 1 year old.

I love old people.
So after Levi and I went to the movies, we picked up Rafe and Bentley. We decided we didn't feel like making dinner and went out to eat. We were about to leave after we ate, and this old woman came up to me and said "you have two of the most handsome babies I have every seen." Of course I was like "thank you so much" and then she just asked their names and stuff, and then her husband came up behind her (they were SO cute!) and kissed her on the cheek and said to Levi and I, "You two have been through a lot of rough times together, haven't you?" We were like.... Yeah, sorta kinda. Haha. I asked how he could tell, and he said "Two people aren't in love like that unless they have been through a lifetime of trials and tribulations. Especially two people as young as yourself."
I just thought that was really sweet and that I'd share it with you. But seriously - I love old couples. They are so cute and sweet.

Images from the rodeo.
Rodeo time!
Heck yeah! I'm SO excited! It's in March, and Levi is volunteering for some days to help out there. We have to decide who to see, but I can't choose! There's so many amazing people coming... I kind of want to see Tim McGraw, because who knows how long he'll be touring for? He's getting a bit older. But I'm not sure yet. Plus it depends if I can get someone to watch the boys while Levi and I go, because when we go to the concert I don't want them to come with. However, we're going to take them during the day time (but I just don't want to deal with kids at night in that environment and concerts aren't too good for their little ears). But I'm already planning my outfit! I've got some money I got for Christmas saved up, and I'm wanting to use it. I'm thinking a brand new pair of Miss Me Jeans and a new pair of boots is in order. :)
Here's some outfits I'm looking at for the rodeo. Some of them look bad from far away but they're really cute when you put them on.

Update!
So this is just an update on life. I'm sorry I suck at keeping up on blogs, haha.
Well Bentley is nearly 19 months, and Rafe is almost 8 weeks. I can't believe how old they both are... Rafe is getting so big. Smiling, looking around, etc.
Bentley is just a little active baby. He's always running, playing, talking, and he LOVES the outside. I definitely have a future athlete on my hands! I can't believe how big he is. I've been so absolutely blessed to be such an amazing little boy's mommy<3 He's my pride and joy and I just adore him so much. <3
Levi and I are going through a pretty rough patch, but I'm giving it one last shot. It's been hard - we've been through so much and I don't want to feel like we're giving up, but if we're not happy, what's the point? So just one more shot, and if things aren't any better, we're done. I hope things do work out, though. I love him. But I just don't want to be unhappy anymore.
I'm officially back at work. It's no fun, but we've gotta pay the bills! Bentley is back in daycare and Rafe is staying with Levi's mom. So it did end up working out. I'm back on birth control (we don't need no more babies, haha.) and life is kind of getting back into routine, which I'm glad for.
FINALLY it's the weekend. I'm so glad. Tonight I'm going to the mall with Bentley, Alexis(my sisssssy), Miranda and her daughter Elora. Then, we're meeting with my parents and older sister to see the musical that Will is in at my old school. I've heard it's really good, so I'm super excited! Rafe is staying with my mom and then she's dropping him off at Levi's mom's house while she comes to the musical. She loves spending time with him, haha.
Not a whole else going on in life. I'll try and write more often!

I know, I know.
I'm so bad. I haven't updated in FOREVER.
But anyways! Things are going well here. Lex had her first cross country meet on Tuesday and she came in 10th overall(out of like, 200+), and 2nd for her school. I'm SO proud of her! :) I'm such a proud big sister, haha.
This week has just DRUG by. It doesn't help that I have to start thinking about when I'm going back to work and where Rafe is going to go. He's still only just 5 weeks. I don't want to put him into daycare or anything yet, but I kind of have to. I mean, I have to work! And I've already been gone since I was 35 weeks - so 7 weeks total. Bentley didn't start going to daycare until around 8 months, and even then I thought it was early. So I just don't know what I'm going to do. :/ Plus, daycare for two kids is going to be a lot of money, which means that I DEFINITELY need to work more. Which double sucks! So I'm kind of at a loss here.
In other news... There's not a whole lot going on! This weekend I don't really have many plans. I might try to meet up with Miranda and Elora, but I don't know if it'll work out. I do need to go to the grocery store tomorrow, but I might put it off until Saturday because it's kind of hard to control Bentley at the store when he's wanting to touch everything, etc and I can't just leave the cart and grab him since I have Rafe, too. I never really imagined that having two kids would be so stressful. But I wouldn't trade it.
I'm waiting and waiting for Rafe's first smile! I know it should be any time now, but I want him to do it already! Haha.
Hope ya'll are doing well and I promise to update more!
